Alegra Solidarity Golf Tournament: deporte, familia y solidaridad
On 3rd of October, Alegra successfully held the first edition of the Alegra Solidarity Golf Tournament, an event organised by the school’s Parents’ Association (APA), which brought together numerous parents and friends of Alegra at the Spanish Golf Federation Course.
It was an exceptional day of sport, friendship and solidarity, in which participants enjoyed an individual Stableford-format tournament, with prizes by category, as well as special awards for the longest drive and the nearest to the pin.
Prize Ceremony, Charity Raffle and a New Alegra Tradition
After the competition, all attendees gathered for a cocktail and prize-giving ceremony, where the winner of this first edition was celebrated. The Alegra Golf Cup will remain in the champion’s hands until the next tournament in the following academic year, when this new charitable tradition will be renewed.
The evening concluded with a charity raffle featuring some very special prizes, including a trip to Punta Cana, along with other gifts generously donated by sponsors and school families.
Solidarity in Action
Beyond golf, the true purpose of the event was solidarity: all funds raised will go to the Alegra Family Support Fund, an initiative that helps families in need within the school community.
During the cocktail, the Headmistress, Marta Jiménez de los Galanes, thanked the APA and all participants for their involvement, emphasising that activities like this strengthen our sense of belonging and solidarity as part of the Alegra family.

The strong turnout, both for the tournament and the cocktail reception, reflected the enthusiasm and commitment of the families, who once again demonstrated that at Alegra, sport and solidarity go hand in hand.
