Dos olímpicas comparten su pasión por el deporte con las alumnas de Alegra
Spanish national hockey team players Lucía Jiménez and Lola Riera visited Alegra to share with our students their passion for sport, effort, and teamwork.
The sporting year at Alegra began with a very special visit. Lucía “Lulu” Jiménez, captain of the Spanish women’s hockey team, and Lola Riera, also an international and Olympic player, met with members of Alegra’s hockey teams to talk about their experiences in elite sport. With three Olympic Hockey Games behind them — Rio, Tokyo, and Paris — and a recent European bronze medal, they shared anecdotes, lessons, and advice to help the students grow both as athletes and as individuals.
During the session, Lulu spoke about the importance of perseverance and commitment:
“There may be times when you don’t feel like training because it’s cold or you’re tired. But you make the effort because you’ve made a commitment to yourself and to your team. And even if you don’t achieve the result you expected, you keep trying.”

Lola Riera encouraged our players to value the environment they have at Alegra:
“You are very fortunate to have these facilities. No other school has a hockey pitch like this — and very few clubs do either. Make the most of every opportunity to train, grow, and enjoy being part of a team.”
She also shared stories from her Olympic experiences and some of the moments that have most shaped her career.
The event was organised by the Sports Department, led by Beba Viana, Head of Sports at Alegra.
“We want our students to understand that true success is not only about winning, but about making an effort, working as a team, and enjoying the journey,” she highlighted. “Visits like these inspire and convey values that go far beyond the pitch.”
Sport at Alegra begins the year on a high note.
Thank you, champions, for your generosity and inspiration!
