Year 6 Graduation: An Exciting New Beginning

The end of Year 6 is one of those moments that stays with our pupils and their families forever. At Alegra, the graduation ceremony once again brought the whole school community together to celebrate the end of a stage filled with learning, friendship and personal growth, and to welcome a new adventure: the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme (MYP). As in previous years, the occasion retained its spirit of celebration and transition to the next stage of education.

The ceremony began with words from our Head, Marta Jiménez de los Galanes, who congratulated the pupils on everything they had experienced over these years and encouraged them to embrace the challenges ahead with enthusiasm.

During the ceremony, María Álvarez de Toledo, Head of Prep School, reminded the pupils that each of them is unique and that God has called them by name and has a great plan for them. “You have a great responsibility.”

Prep School Will Always Be Your Home

Before the diplomas were presented, the Prep School team shared some affectionate words with the pupils, reminding them that the doors of Primary School would always remain open to them.

Over these years, they have grown academically, discovered their talents and learned to look at the world with curiosity, responsibility and a desire to serve others. All of this provides the best preparation for the new stage they are now beginning within the International Baccalaureate.

A Magical Finale with Mary Poppins

After the presentation of diplomas came one of the afternoon’s most eagerly awaited moments: the musical performance of Mary Poppins.

For weeks, the pupils had prepared this classic with great enthusiasm, bringing to life its imagination, optimism and unforgettable songs. On stage, they demonstrated not only their artistic talent but also the fruits of teamwork, perseverance and the joy with which they had experienced their final year in Prep School.

Their performance delighted and moved the families in the audience, providing the perfect conclusion to a stage they will always remember.

With this celebration, we bid farewell to an extraordinary year group and look forward with excitement to their journey into the MYP.
