University
Access

Our IB DP Programme provides excellent preparation for University and beyond. It is recognised by universities both home and abroad and deemed one of the most academically rigorous qualifications at pre-university level. Our students gain a deeper and wider scope of knowledge whilst growing physically, intellectually, emotional and ethically.

Our students are awarded a final overall grade upon completion of the a two year programme of study. The minimum points score to achieve a pass is 24 points whilst the highest possible score of attainment is 45 points.

Students of completing the International Baccalaureate Diploma are not required to take the general phase of the EVAU or Selectividad, and their results are convalidated through UNED; a final grade is awarded for access to public and private universities in Spain.

Careers Guidance

Our experienced and dedicated University Guidance Team plays a crucial role in supporting our students to choose the IB subjects that complement their academic and personal strengths. Our University Guidance Counsellors have built excellent relationships with many of the world’s leading universities and we are able to support our students with applications both in Spain and abroad.

We support our students with their personal statements, course choices and mock interview preparation as well as inspiring them with academic lectures and enrichment activities in their subject areas. We host many university visits at Alegra each year, attend Open Days with our students and arrange for visits to higher education fairs.

At Alegra, our students are led by their determination and aspirations. We are very proud of our students’ achievements, with many offered places at top universities around the world, including University College London (UCL), Warwick, King’s College London, Durham, Cunef, Universidad de Navarra, ICADE,

We facilitate the development of employability skills. Employers are not just looking at the degree courses studied but the value added from inherent self-confidence, communication, initiative, teamwork and time management skills.
