End of the Year Festival 2022
“¡Viva la vida ordinaria!” were the introductory words of Vicky Muller, Headmistress of Alegra, to the 2022 End Of The Year Festival, on the morning of the last Saturday 4th of June. A day that has been a special opportunity for teachers, staff and families of the school to celebrate the academic and personal growth of the students.
“We come to the closure of our 10th anniversary with the renewed excitement and commitment for the next 10 years; looking forward with a wholehearted desire that Alegra becomes a place of encounters. A place where we can all find guidance to grow from personal and family challenges, an serene environment where your children enjoy learning”, said the Headmistress during her speech.
The Joy of the Parade
From Year 1 to DP2 all Alegra students paraded through the Campus, a milestone specially for Year 1 boys that leave the school, Year 6 girls that next year will begin their journey in the IB Programme, and of course for DP2 students: their last parade as Alegra students, ready to join the Alumni of the school.
After the parade the prizes ceremony began, awarding the four prizes to students in each class: Academic Excellence, Spirit of Alegra, Sports & Resilience.
A supercalifragilisticexpialidocious Party
As a farewell to the stage, the Year 6 students surprised us with the Mary Poppins Musical Play, in which all the courses from Year 1 to Year 5 participated, performing different songs from the musical.
Year 6 Graduation: Welcome to the IB!
The Year 6 Musical was the frame of the Graduation Ceremony of the students that this year finish their Primary stage in the British System and will start their journey next year in the Middle Year Programme of the IB.
