During Advent at Alegra we prepare ourselves every day to receive with an open heart the true Light of the world. Jesus is born, and the school holds different activities, to prepare for His coming, so everyone in the community is involved and ready to welcome Him.

This Christmas, more than ever, is an occasion to give thanks and to help others in need, in any ways we can imagine. At Alegra we are preparing Christmas, whilst thinking of those more vulnerable.
That is why from the first day of Advent all the school is championing different solidarity campaigns to help the less fortunate. It is not obligatory to participate in all of them, but it is good to make our children realize the value of serving others.
Prep School
- Recollection of baby products for both: La Estela de Ayo (www.laesteladeayo.org/) and Red Madre (www.redmadre.es).
The deadline for this project is the 21rst of December. We will be recollecting- Diapers(1-2-3)

- The Alegra APA is holding the traditional giveaway, to help the Family Fund. This year the presents are the best of the best:
- A trip to Holy Land
- 2 small statues of Our Lady Of Alegra

- A Christmas Basket with the statue of Our Lady of Alegra
- A Christmas Basket with the Alegra doll
The unsold tickets must be returned to the Class Teachers up until de 20th of December. The winning tickets will be announced on the 21rst of December, the prizes can be collected on the same day or the 22nd of December.

- For the “Banco de Alimentos”. A food recollection has been carried out the last couple of days through the Houses of Alegra competition in solidarity.
- “Ningún Niño sin Reyes Magos”. This Project tends to all the letters to the Wise Men of children in vulnerable situations. How can we help? You can help by buying a gift (20-25€ max.) of the letters to the Wise Men that these children have delivered to the Asociación Ayuda en Red. From the 30th of November, the students will receive an envelope with a bulk of tickets to sell among family and friends. The remaining tickets must be returned to the Class Teachers. The winning tickets will be announced the 11th of January.
