The carving represents the moment that the Virgin Mary said Yes! The encounter of the Virgin and the Word of God. Mary reflects the disposition and her desire to lay her life in the hands of Our Father.
Her face is struck with awe and fascination at that supernatural instant.
The Virgin faces the Tabernacle and invites us all to enter into her House to do the same.
